Spacers

Unthreaded Standoffs

Spacers are used to create space between 2 objects in an assembly. In the world of Electronic Hardware and Electronic Components, spacers are most often found spacing circuit boards, motherboards, panels and doors. Lyn-Tron Spacers are unthreaded and come in Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Brass and Nylon. All Lyn-Tron Electronic Hardware is made in the USA and held to the highest quality standards. Due to our high quality and precision manufacturing process, many industries outside of electronics now use our spacers as bushings, washers, bearings, and pivot points. With a wide selection of materials, sizes and lengths, you can trust Lyn-Tron to have the right part for your application.

Swage Spacers

The unthreaded turned down section allows for the part to be secured to the circuit board via a swaging process. The swaging of the part curls the part back onto the board. This curled section keeps the part firmly in place. Parts are thoroughly tested to ensure that proper swaging will not cause excessive cracking or flaking.

Female-Female Standoffs

Threaded Standoffs

Standoffs are used to create space between 2 objects in an assembly. Lyn-Tron Standoffs are threaded and available in Female-FemaleMale-Female, and Male-Male Thread Configurations to fasten components together. In the world of Electronic Hardware and Electronic Components, Standoffs are most commonly used on Printed Circuit Boards, Motherboards and Panels. We offer all common Inch Thread Sizes, including 4-40, 6-32, 8-32, and 10-32; as well as Metric Threads M2, M2.5, M3 and more! While we do stock a large variety of threads, OD’s, Profiles and lengths, we can also custom manufacture any configuration your application requires!

Swage Standoffs

This curled section keeps the part firmly in place. Parts are thoroughly tested to ensure that proper swaging will not cause excessive cracking or flaking.

Male-Female Standoffs

Still widely used in computers and electronic equipment to separate circuit boards for airflow and allow clearance for installed components. As these come in a wide array of sizes and threads, nearly every industry has used them as thread adapters, spacers, connectors and other unique applications.

Male-Male Standoffs

These standoffs have male threads on each end allowing for the connection of 2 female threaded components. The unthreaded Hex Body provides for wrench tightening. Can also be used as an adapter as the standoffs come in both same size and different sized threads.

Super Torq Swage Standoffs

Anti Rotation Standoff

Super-Torq Swage parts are designed to resist rotation under high assembly torques and to eliminate breaks in electrical connections due to spinning of standoffs during assembly. The unique Super-Torq corner knurl prevents the fastener from twisting after installation. Lyn-Tron standard swaging tools can be used on Super-Torq standoffs in the same way as installing conventional swage standoffs for an easy upgrade.

Jack Screws

A Jack Screw is simply a 3/16” Hex, 4-40 Male-Female Standoff, that is 3/16” in length. What separates these is that you can choose the male-thread length that will best fit your application. These are also called Female Screw-Locks and are most commonly used in mounting D-Sub Connectors. Each Jack Screw is available as a stand-alone screw, but visit the Jack Screw Assembly and Bulk Kit Sections to purchase the complete set of mounting hardware.

Shoulder Screws

Shoulder Screws, sometimes referred to as Shoulder Bolts or Stripper Bolts, get their name from the unique shoulder found between the head and the threads of the screw. Lyn-Tron manufactures Precision Shoulder Screws, so named for the high tolerance (+/-0.0005) the shoulder diameter is held to. Most commonly offered in Stainless Steel, Brass and Steel, other materials are available upon request. All common thread sizes are stocked in both Inch (4-40, 6-32, 8-32, 10-32 etc.) and Metric (M3, M3.5, M4 etc.). Precision Shoulder Screw Sizes come standard from 1/8” up to 1/2” diameters and in Metric sizes from 3mm to 10mm diameters. Contact us today to modify any of our shoulder screw dimensions to fit your specific application!

Ball Stud Males

Ball Studs are a door catch style product and ideal for applications where constant opening and closing are required. Varying pull out tensions can be achieved from any ball stud depending on the mating latch that is used. The ease of use of these products make them popular choices for electrical panels, cabinets, and enclosures.

Ball Stud Females

Ball Studs are a door catch style product and ideal for applications where constant opening and closing are required. Varying pull out tensions can be achieved from any ball stud depending on the mating latch that is used. The ease of use of these products make them popular choices for electrical panels, cabinets, and enclosures.

Panel Screw

Captive Panel Screws are designed to remain attached even if unscrewed when used with a captive panel retainer. Most commonly used on control panel doors to keep the door screwed shut during normal operating conditions. When access is needed, unthreading the screw allows for the door to be open, while the retainer keeps the screw attached to the door. Perfect for applications where a lost screw poses safety or cost concerns. All Lyn-Tron Captive Panel Screws come in multiple head designs, varying shank lengths and diameters, and all common thread sizes. With so many options, you are sure to find the right screw for your application.

Push Thumb Screws

Thumb Screws come in all common threads with a variety of thread lengths. The high quality knurl allows for an easy grip to hand tighten these screws into place, but have also been used for their decorative and unique appearance.

Washer Face Thumb Screws

Thumb Screws come in all common threads with a variety of thread lengths. The high quality knurl allows for an easy grip to hand tighten these screws into place, but have also been used for their decorative and unique appearance.

Chassis Fasteners

A chassis fastener was designed to be attached to the chassis or case of a computer. Like swage standoffs and spacers, these parts are fastened by swaging the part in place for a permanent attachment. The location of the thread in relation to the mounting surface makes these parts unique. As the thread runs parallel to the mounted surface, these fasteners create new anchor points not possible with other hardware.

Thumb Nuts

Thumb nuts offer a unique and finished look. Offered in all common female threads, you can choose between the Round and Hex Style. The Round style is knurled to allow for an easy grip when hand tightening. The Hex Style provides the option for wrench tightening.
